Permissions

Permissions are grouped into tabs that reflect the different components of Contractor Essentials. Where users can go and what they can do depends on the permissions granted to their roles.

Enabling and disabling permissions for an existing role immediately affects all people who use it. Users should save their work before any of their role's permissions are modified.

While setting permissions, keep in mind that the functionality of one feature might rely on other features in the same group or a different group. In this situation, a role needs access to all of the connected features. For example, every permission in the Estimates group could be enabled, but the features will be restricted unless Access is also enabled for the Proposals feature in the Proposals group.

You can alert all active users of upcoming permission changes with a message in the System activity feed.
