Setting up global data
Global data is information created and maintained in a central place, like a library, and used in multiple proposals. For example, you can create one algorithm and use it globally in all your proposals.
Although there are many different kinds of global data that you can set up, you only need some core information to start creating proposal tasks and entering estimates in them.

A complete, functional, and accurate algorithm is crucial to getting started in ProPricer. It defines the indirect elements that are applied to your resources' direct expenses, and its formula calculates the costs of resources and the price of proposals.
It is always recommended that you test a new or updated algorithm to see how it calculates costs before using it in proposals. Testing is especially important if you plan to edit and publish an algorithm that's already being used in proposals.
After creating and setting up an algorithm, you must publish it to your database. Once published, you can assign it to an indirect rate table. The algorithm will provide the indirect elements that appear in the table.

An indirect rate table breaks out the indirect elements from the algorithm attached to it. In the table, you enter pools of timephased rates for the elements. A table's timescale determines if the indirect rates are monthly, quarterly, or annual.
The indirect pools used in tables come from the Indirect Pool Library. To create new pools, open the library. You can also add new pools to an indirect rate table and let ProPricer create them in the library for you.
When you finish setting up an indirect rate table, attach it to a direct rate table so you can select indirect pools for your resources.

A direct rate table contains your resources' direct rates which are broken down by month. An indirect rate table must be attached to it so you can select indirect pools for your resources. This associates their direct rates with their indirect rates.
The different types of resources used in direct rate tables come from the Resource Library. To create new resources, open the library. You can also add new resources to a direct rate table and let ProPricer create them in the library for you.
