Add a task in a proposal
Add a task to any proposal breakdown structure (PBS) element where estimates are allowed. To Quick Add several new tasks throughout the PBS simultaneously, see Quick Add Tasks.
- On the Estimates page, select a PBS element. If it has tasks already, they will appear in the grid to right.
- Above the grid, click Add Task.
- Enter a new task name.
- Enter a description of the task. (Optional)
- Adjust the length of time in the task. (Optional)
- In a proposal with start and end dates, change the task's dates.
- In a proposal without start and end dates, change and offset the task's duration.
- Enter a profit/fee rate for the task. (Optional) This overrides the proposal-level rate, and it overrides the default rates in the indirect rate table.
- Enter values in your custom task fields. (Optional)
- Click Create.
