Add a task in a proposal

Add a task to any proposal breakdown structure (PBS) element where estimates are allowed. To Quick Add several new tasks throughout the PBS simultaneously, see Quick Add Tasks.

  1. On the Estimates page, select a PBS element. If it has tasks already, they will appear in the grid to right.
  2. Above the grid, click Add Task.
  3. Enter a new task name.
  4. Enter a description of the task. (Optional)
  5. Adjust the length of time in the task. (Optional)
  6. Enter a profit/fee rate for the task. (Optional) This overrides the proposal-level rate, and it overrides the default rates in the indirect rate table.
  7. Enter values in your custom task fields. (Optional)
  8. Click Create.
